I took that photo in an antique store because I just loved her! If I remember correctly she has an opening in the back for a scouring pad? I know that I took the picture so I could look her up. 🙂
I was able to find her rather quickly. She is actually has holes on the top of her head so you fill her with cleanser to sprinkle… She is from the 40’s or 50’s and I’ve found her on ebay starting at $35 and another website for $70! I wish I knew how much she was at the store where I saw her. I know it was over $10 because if she was less than $10 I would have bought her. lol
Kat, I’d have a ‘field day’ if I went antique shopping with you. I love buying items from the 1970’s. I recently purchased a set of retro Christmas tree lights still in their original box because they were the exact same ones we had on our tree back when I was a child. Bring back some very happy memories.
I hope you find your ‘Cleanser Kate’ at another store soon.
Welcome Kat to my challenges. I’m thrilled that you have decided to participate. I adore your photography for this week’s kitchen theme. They are a wonderful edition to this week’s theme.
I love the vintage retro look.

You know, I thought it may have been an antique, just by the look of her. I hope you find out something about her. Do let me know if you do.

I’m sure we would have a great time! I’ve noticed that some of my purchases are replicas from my childhood in the 70’s….
I’m just itching to get out antiquing! It’s been too long. 🙂
