Or “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night Live!”
So many talented performers have graced the stage of Saturday Night Live since it first aired in 1975. Gilda Radner was hands down my favorite. She never failed to make me laugh. Roseanne Roseannadanna on Weekend Update was fun to watch. And I was always entertained when she was playing the little girl Judy Miller, who wore the Brownie uniform and acted out all the parts of her own Judy Miller Show. Other favorites were Emily Litella, Baba Wawa and Lisa Lubner.
My favorite Not Ready for Prime Time Players will always be the original group- Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, (George Coe????), Jane Curtain, Garrett Morris, Gilda Radner, Laraine Newman
I watched SNL until the early 90’s. Having three kids by 1995, I couldn’t stay awake to watch it and would try to catch it when I remembered. Thank goodness for the internet! It’s nice to be able to see the skit everyone is talking about with a quick search on my phone.
Do you have a favorite Not Ready for Prime Time Player? Or a favorite group?
