Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Indoor Walkways, Hallways, Elevators

My youngest son, Andrew, attends a music school in New York. It was built in the 1920’s and although there have been additions and changes made over the years, its original beauty remains. For Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Indoor Walkways, Hallways, Elevators, I am using photos I took during our recent visit. There is a classic elegance and richness in these old buildings that simply cannot be duplicated.

The architecture is detailed and beautiful. You never know what you’re going to find as you walk down the halls.

Even the staircases are impressive!

This school is truly a work of art. The performance halls are impressive with amazing art work and intricate detail. I’m sure it enriches Andrew’s experience as he continues his music studies.

It’s a Small World

It’s a Small World

Growing up surrounded by music and finding that there is a song or lyrics to fit every occasion, it’s safe to assume that by my post title, I should have been sharing a fun little Disney video to accompany my photos for Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Small Subjects. Sadly, this is not happening because every video I found was either way too long, having been taped while on the actual ride OR (horror of horrors) the lyrics that people thoughtfully provided were misspelled or grammatically incorrect. I don’t claim to be perfect. I misspell words. I make grammatical errors. But it is a pet peeve of mine and after watching way too many videos with that catchy tune playing, I threw in the towel and admitted defeat. In all that time, I could have shared my photos and been out to lunch!!!.Seriously!

For Day 4’s photo I’m flashing back to 2001.

Black and White Photography Challenge: Day 3

I’m on Day 3 of the Black and White Photo Challenge. Hugh from Hugh’s Views & News invited me to participate back in March and I’m finally doing it! 🙂 I’ve really enjoyed taking part in Cee’s Black & White Challenge, which occurs weekly on Thursdays so anything that involved more black and white photos excites me!

There are only two rules for this challenge:

1. On 5 consecutive days, create a post using either a past or recent photo in black and white.
2. Each day invite another blogging friend to join in the fun.

Today’s photo features Ari and Casey. At any given time, we will find either or both of the dogs on guard duty. They take their job very seriously and often trade places so they can survey the property with fresh eyes.
