K is for Kermit #AtoZChallenge

K is for Kermit the Frog. When I think of Kermit, the song “The Rainbow Connection” comes to mind. In fact, this very scene comes to mind. It is the opening scene of The Muppet Movie, which was released in 1979. Who doesn’t love the Muppets? Okay, I’m sure there is someone but seriously? Come on!

This movie is described as a live action/puppet musical comedy, which is spot on. It has an all-star cast which includes famous muppets and talented live actors- Steve Martin, Dom DeLuise, and Mel Brooks, to name a few. It is the story of how the Muppets met. It follows Kermit’s journey across the country to pursue a career in Hollywood. The jokes are silly. The characters are lovable. The songs are fun. And we watch Miss Piggy and Kermit fall in love. What more could a person ask for?

This post is part of Blogging From A to Z- K.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

    • Trudy, I agree! They really were written to appeal to all ages and that’s one of the things that made them the perfect go to for a family whose kids’ ages spanned six years.
