Each Monday 4-5 questions are shared along with an optional Gratitude Section for Share Your World, hosted by Melanie from sparksfromacombustiblemind.
Is it necessary to trust someone you like? (friends, acquaintances or co-workers with whom you have no familial ties)
It is necessary for me to trust someone I like. Being an incredibly shy introvert, it’s impossible for me to open up to someone I don’t trust and if I cannot be open with a person, I’m not going to like them.
Do you hold grudges?
Unfortunately I do hold grudges and at times I can let them fester in an unhealthy way. I’ve been working on letting these feelings go and while I think I’ve been making great strides in this department, something will happen and a grudge will rise to the surface.
What do you do when someone really irritates you?
Right or wrong, my mother always told me to ignore them. Of course, this was in response to my complaints that my younger siblings were bugging me, but I took it to heart and have applied it to all aspects of my life. (I find it works quite well.)
What’s the most sensible thing you’ve heard someone say?
I love quotes so I’m going to go with one of my favorites- “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” -Maya Angelou
Is crying a sign of weakness or strength in adults?
I feel that crying is a sign of strength. It is a body’s response to a release of emotion that is needed. Crying helps a person let go of stress and helps her process any number of emotions- grief, anger, sadness, joy, anxiety. And that is a sign of strength.
GRATITUDE SECTION(Always Optional)What small things were you grateful for this week?
I’m grateful for our pup, Ari, who provides our entire family with unconditional love day in and day out.
I hope you have an awesome week!
