I am excited to be participating in The Great Book of Lists, hosted by La duchesse d’Erat . Each week will feature a new list topic and the first week’s chapter is a list of your childhood treasures.

- My stuffed dog- I slept with it for so many years that it ended up rather flat with the fur rubbing off in places. He was finally replaced by a stuffed cat given to me by my first love at the age of 18.
- Plaster hand print- I remember placing my hand over the imprint every year and thinking about how small that original hand was, amazed that it was mine… still was mine.
- Timey Tell- This doll, along with Baby Go Bye-Bye, were my favorite dolls. They were my “babies” when I played house and the sight of a Timey Tell doll transports me back to being a little girl, dreaming of being a mom one day.
Timey Tell doll - A collection of brunette/red haired dolls- Being one of three girls, one blonde, one dark brown haired and then me- somewhere in the middle, I always got the redheaded and medium brown haired dolls.
- My “STUFF” burlap pencil case- I used this pencil case through junior high and high school. It still contains the pencils and markers, most likely dried out, from 30 years ago.
- Books, books and more books- I’ve always loved reading and the books of my childhood are my most cherished treasures. I spent endless hours curled up in a rocking chair in the basement reading and re-reading my favorite books.

I am fortunate enough to have been able to hold on to these treasured items. How about you? Do you have special items that you’ve saved from childhood? Or are these items kept alive in your memories?
Have a good one!

I don’t think I have anything myself anymore outside of memory, but it is interesting to see M starting to move on and away and what he holds in that treasured place for himself 🙂

It is interesting. I’m a bit of a pack rat and hold on to too much and I wonder what my kids will keep themselves. 🙂

Love this ! I still have a stuffed dog with its ear off that my Dad gave me when I was in the hospital at the age of 6 and I have my dollhouse that I played for hours and hours and hours on end with. Plus books! Yes, I was a avid book reader to, still am! Just don’t have as much time!

The doll house that my grandfather made me is in my attic. I guess the list could go on and on! 🙂

Thank you! 🙂 It’s interesting to see what is treasured by each person and how different and/or same they are.
