Share Your World – 2015 Week #24

I am taking part in Cee’s Share Your World Challenge. It’s easy to do and it’s fun, too! (No wisecracks about rhyming. Now you know why I haven’t tried my hand at poetry.)

What’s your favorite charitable cause and why?  

The cause that I contribute to regularly is the American Cancer Society. I’ve lost too many people to cancer, including a very special friend, making it a cause that is very close to my heart.

What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?  

I seem to wear gray a lot so I’m guessing that I’m most comfortable wearing it. Of course, I also love wearing jeans so I could say blue, of the denim variety.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? (guest can be dead, alive, famous or someone you just know)

1. My grandmother- She came to the US through Ellis Island as a young child. I would love to hear about her memories and what it was like to grow up in a country where she did not speak the language.

2. John Lennon- how could I not want to interview him? I would love to hear what’s on his mind, what his creative process is, what makes him tick.

3. Ian Somerhalder- Just so I could look at him. sigh. Seriously, he seems cool and I would love to find out if he really is! (If you don’t know who he is, google him. You will not be disappointed.)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am so grateful for the many hours I got to spend with my grandsons. I treasure every minute I have with them.

I am looking forward to spending time with my oldest son. He worked a killer schedule and I’ve been missing him.
