Welcome to the Kat Got Your Tongue Challenge!
I hope you’ll please join me!
I am an introvert. (Surprise!) Actually I’m the double whammy- introvert and shy all wrapped up in one quiet bundle. I don’t say much if there are more than 2 people in the room (outside of my family). I don’t like crowds. I need downtime after a social setting. Any socializing that lasts 6-8 hours probably could have been done in less than 2.
This article pretty much sums up how I feel-
An Introvert’s Open Letter to Extroverts: 5 Things You Should Know About Me
Thanks for joining in last week- Dani at BloomingSpiders, Meredith at Meredith’s Musings, and Emma at Once Upon a Littlefield.. We ended up with one ability to speak all languages and two flyers! 🙂
Here is my post about being an introvert. 🙂 http://notestiedonthesagebrush.wordpress.com/2014/11/24/cat-got-your-tongue-or-tails-of-an-introvert/

Thank you for joining in! I enjoyed your post. If cats are introverts, then dogs are extroverts. I could write a novel about my dog, Ari , and her outgoing personality.

I want to read the link article. I am an introvert. Have you read Susan Cain’s book Quiet and I am re-reading another book now about introverts. Elaine Aron writes about highly sensitive people which I think is where introverts fit in as well. Would like to join your challenge on Mondays. 🙂

I have not read that book but will definitely look for it. While knowing I am an introvert, I hadn’t realized how much of me was explained!
I would love to have you take part in the challenge. 🙂

With you on this one – kind of – because strangely I’m in a job that requires me to be personable all the time, network, build partnerships….all the things I hate in my “real” life, when I like a few friends around, nothing too loud or busy, and lots of alone time.

In my board position there are many times when I’m required to be “on” and socialize with strangers. It wipes me out so badly that I need to be alone. My family has come to realize that when I say I need that down time, I really do!
