Today I am thankful for time. It seems as if we have fallen into a sort of state of limbo as we wait for the baby to arrive.
Yesterday I went with my daughter-in-law to the doctor. Everything is progressing nicely. We just need the baby to stay put for a few more weeks before being born. After the appointment we organized the baby things and set aside everything they will need right away. Today we purchased a few more baby things they still needed. Jasmine spent the evening getting things in order.
This is time that is most definitely needed. Not only is there more to be done in preparation for the baby, but these are our final days with CJ as the only child. And so our days have taken on a sort of drifting, non-committal quality , where we are ready to drop everything at a moment’s notice.
For now, time is on our side.
